Ché…..et Camus
".....Absolute revolution, in fact, supposes the absolute malleability of human nature and its possible reduction to the condition of a historical force. But rebellion, in man, is the refusal to be treated as an object and to be reduced to simple historical terms.
It is the affirmation of a nature common to all men, which eludes the world of power...."
Albert Camus, The Rebel (1956)

I never cease to be amazed by how Camus never fails to infuse the treatment of even the most outwardly abstract ideas with such an original humanism that they can't help but become relevant once more!

Aladdin,
Humanism does not recognize any boundaries! Our collective human experience is an "open-source", be it Buddhist, Indian, Ougadougan, Marxist, Islamic, Congolese, or Australian. The point is, Che stood for certain principles of human dignity and liberation, so did Camus, Muhammad, Jesus, Lao Tzu , Rosa Park, Malcolm X, Simone De Bauvoire and a long list of great minds, each in his/her own way and with a mission.
to elevate the human spirit and empower those in need to overcome tyrany and opression is what mattered...and what matters still.
Just as arch.memory said (above), "..it never ceases to amaze ', how somone like Camus, is still relevant today, as he was 5o years ago. If "original humanism" is at the core, it will reach and empower the rest of humanity......
arch.memory, right on......it is encouraging to run into fellow "humanists" along the way. Kieslowski must have written it into one of his future-yet-to-be-filmed scripts ;))) (sorry for the inside joke, folks!!)

Ok, thank you for being so considerate to me, So, let's try to dort things out. If, only if, he reveals who he is, and keeps in contact with, I will give him the name and url that I am using now - as you can see, it is a new blog of mine and it makes not a big diference if I chance the name and url. But you must understand I am not a hacker, nor a dishonest person. So, I haven't deleted his blog - only someone with his password would be able to do so, don't you thnik? Anyway - in order for him to have this name and url back he has to cool down and talk to me - so that we can arrange a way of doing so.
